What's Tess been up to recently?

She has filmed in ‘Barnacles Will Grow On Your Heart’ Short Film with  her children Larnce, Gem and mother Erica.

Filmed in ‘Choices’ Short film, where Tess and her daughter Gem played main characters.

Filmed in ‘The Edge of Reality’. A Short Film starring John Jarrat.

Tess has started rehearsals for a play ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ playing the part of Elaine. Set in 1944 America and will require Tess to use her American Accent.

Tess has started attending Dutch Folk dancing after a long absence.

 

Lucy's Story

Tess has acted as the main character in a promotional program for Uniting-Care Wesley called Lucy's Story.

This program is being produced to fight mental health stigma. It is about how with support from companies like Uniting-Care Wesley, family and friends people with mental illness can happily live in the community. 

 

A Recipe for Pumpkin Bread

Tess has performed in 'A Recipe for Pumpkin Bread'. In this short movie, Tess plays the part of a grieving wife, who has to deal with tragic loss of a child. This is a highly emotional role which shows the pain and uncharacteristic responses a person can portray when dealing with personal tragedy. A film by TAFE SA.

 

Filming Completes on 'A Fly on the Wall'

Tess has completed filming of 'A fly on the Wall'. A short film produced by Happy Heart Productions. This is a story about the unusual happenings within a night club toilet. Written by Tess O'Flaherty, the film has now entered the post production phase, with a 1st edit nearing completion.

 

Tess films multi-cultural program for MAPS

Tess performs in a multi-cultural program for MAPS. Media Arts Production Skills (MAPS), calls on Tess' acting skills to perform in a multi-cultural program which demonstrates the cultural diversity of society in Australia. The program focuses on people from varying countries and cultures from around the world, including Tess' Dutch background.

 

Tess performs in Mock Car Accident

Tess has performed as the mother of a deceased teenager who was tragically killed whilst a passenger in a mock car accident. Performed in front of hundreds of high school students and emergency services personnel, this re-enactment is a realistic reminder to teenagers of the dangers and consequences of drink driving. This was an incentive by West Torrens City Council on the grounds of the Thebarton Oval.
